THANK YOU FOR A GREAT SEASON...

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!

The HorseAbility Haunted Hay Barn Terror on the Trail will feature over a dozen themed scenes on the grounds of our historic 1912 horse stables, from unnerving to the down right terrifying.

Home to possibly a few more frights then the ones we provide, it's sure to touch on your every nightmare...

not for the faint of heart.

HorseAbility's Haunted Hay Barn is an annual fundraising event to benefit HorseAbility, its special needs participants and therapy horses.

to About

    History of the HHB

The Haunted Hay Barn fundraiser was established in 2014 by Rae Natale and Jamie Thomas-Martin. Rae is a staple in the LI haunt community; for over 20 years she was one of the masterminds behind the Bayville Haunted Fire House. Jamie spent many years in their ranks as an actor and assisting with prop/set creation. After their haunt was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy, Jamie recruited her support for a new haunted house fundraiser opportunity for HorseAbility. Jamie is the Director of Operations for the organization and Rae is a committee member of  the organziation's Board of Directors.

In 2012, HorseAbility relocated their operations to the 'Broad Hollow House' Stables, the F. Ambrose Clark estate designed by Rogers & Zogbaum and built in 1912. Clark was an heir to the Singer Sewing Machine fortune and was a very prominent race horse breeder and owner. His estate comprised over 400 acres, the property which now makes up most of the SUNY Old Westbury campus. The stables were left vacant for over 30 years ... it was clearly the perfect new home for our haunted house.

Since its inception, the HHB has been recognized as one of the top 10 haunted houses on Long Island by LIHauntedHouses.com. In 2016 eared the award as Haunt of The Year.
